Recovery & Support Resources

Georgia Association of Recovery Residences

GARR was organized in 1987 by seven residential recovery programs that were seeking to set themselves apart by establishing high quality standards, ethical operating principles and third party oversight. Today, GARR, an affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, continues to be the advocate and authority (or agent) for quality recovery residences in Georgia.

Recovery Connections

Recovery Connections is dedicated to promoting sustainable long-term recovery from substance use disorders through an approach that addresses all stakeholders in the recovery community. We believe there are multiple pathways to recovery, and we connect people to resources, organizations, and peers that can help them succeed in their recovery journey.

Georgia Faith & Recovery Collaboration

Georgia Faith & Recovery Collaboration (GFRC) is Christian leaders coming together to equip and support the Church as it grows in all aspects of recovery. We consider recovery to be of the whole person—spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational. We value people and respect all faiths, recognizing there are multiple pathways to recovery. We support each other as believers on our own journeys. We uphold the vital role churches play in shaping lives, while acknowledging opportunities for continuous growth in how the Church provides care and support. We seek to support all individuals at the intersection of faith and recovery, with special focus on ministry leaders, pastors, congregations, vocational ministry professionals, and faith-based counselors and treatment providers.
